(Worthy News) – The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed on Monday that it is expanding operations across the Gaza Strip under its renewed offensive “Gideon’s Chariots,” including intensified airstrikes and targeted operations in Khan Younis and beyond. A spokesperson stated, “The IDF is in the midst of Operation ‘Gideon’s Chariots’ and is operating throughout the Gaza Strip.”
The military struck several locations on Monday night, including Deir al-Balah, south of Nuseirat, and Gaza City. Israeli Foreign Ministry director Eden Bar Tal said, “Today, Israel is facilitating the entry of trucks with baby food into Gaza,” adding that “in the coming days, Israel will facilitate the entry of dozens of aid trucks.” However, he offered no specifics on quantities, timing, or exact entry points.
The aid effort is complicated by fears that Hamas will seize the supplies. Netanyahu said that IDF-secured distribution points under U.S. oversight would begin operating “in a few days,” but until then, temporary deliveries would continue to prevent mass starvation among Gaza’s 2.3 million residents.
