JERUSALEM (Worthy News) – At least six people have been wounded, two of them critically, after a stabbing shook the Israeli city of Hadera, but the attacker was shot by armed civilians, witnesses said.

Footage obtained by Worthy News showed a man being cornered by armed civilians. A man first shot in the air, making clear to the suspect that he should surrender.

The armed civilians began yelling at the suspect in Hebrew and English to “get onto the floor,” but he ignored them.

Soon after he was shot and, uniformed police forces rushed to the scene in Hadera, about 45 kilometers (28 miles) from the major Israeli cities of Tel Aviv and Haifa.

The suspect was later identified as a 36-year-old Arab Israeli resident of the Umm al-Fahm in Israel’s Haifa District. Although he was shot and detained, his condition was not immediately apparent.

Several victims were listed in critical condition in the latest such attack to hit Israel in recent weeks, officials said.

DIFFERENT LOCATIONS

Verified footage of Wednesday’s confrontation showed a knife-carrying person stabbing victims at four different locations before he was stopped by bystanders on what looked like a side street.

The armed civilians began yelling at the suspect in Hebrew and English to “get onto the floor,” but he ignored them.

Two of the stabbing victims initially listed as seriously injured have deteriorated to critical condition, said Eli Bin, the chief of Israel’s medical rescue service Magen David Adom.

Three others were reportedly in serious condition, and the fourth was wounded.

With the army striking Iranian proxies in Gaza and at least six other fronts, concerns are mounting about acts of terrorism inside the Jewish nation.

The wars were triggered by the massacre of some 1,200 people and the abductions of about 250 others by Hamas in Israel on October 7.
